We're home. And we're happy!

We woke up Sunday morning talking about what is strange, different, and good to us about 'home':

1. Our bed is sooo comfortable!
After sleeping in a hard, small bed we could have stayed in ours forever!

2. Breakfast is soooo far away!
We were not excited about walking all the way down the big, long hallway (equivilant to walking down to the other side of our apartment building) just to get a bowl of cereal.

3. There's soooo much open space!
Typical and expected in Canada, but completely opposite from our concrete jungle that we've lived in for 2 years.

4. There are houses everywhere!
At least in my parents' area, there are houses and yards all around us! There might even be more houses than apartment buildings!

5. My parents live in a mansion!
Not exactly, but I felt like the tour of the house just kept going and going! Our whole apartment is the same size as their master bedroom!

6. We can use a machine to dry clothes!
I no longer have to wait 24-48 hours before we can wear the clothes we've just washed. Dryers are truly an amazing invention for speed and for not cluttering up the house with wet clothes!

...just some of the things we are amazed by this week as we adjust to being 'home'!
