We spent the night up at Silver Star Mountain with our friends Erin and Jesse. It was a great get away to the 'ghost town' up the ski hill. ususally this place is buzzing and we didn't really expect to get a room but there was NOBODY there! we DIDN'T get a room at off-season pricing, but we DID have a great time with them.
It was fun to get away for the night, forget ALL about Superstore bags and how many somebody needs, and just focus on Craig and friends. It was the first time we'd gone away with a couple and we LOVED it! so, call us up - we'll meet you for a weekend of couple-ing!
There was an amazing sunset as we were making supper and settling in.
We had a great view of the Monashee Mountains too. There was
only 1 other couple in the hotel, and they happened to have the room next to us (?) Craig made friends with them as the guy's hobby was star-gazing. we cranked our necks up to the sky for an hour as he pointed stuff out and looked through his telescope. Craig is great. he's always willing to make new friends.we spent a couple hours discussing church and what it looks like compared to what it should look like and where we fit into that. Lots more to say at a later date.
Erin is pregnant with their 2nd child, and Xander is 9 months. So, we had to take the 'pregnant' picture. no, Craig is not pregnant.Thanks for a great night out, friends. Love times like those.

ok, i got a question... Usually you cant get a room, cause NOBODY was there? what kind of a hotel is that?

btw, coffee (or hot chocolate in my case) and old town sounds great. see you tomorrow then. =)
