Friends Speak in South Korea

Last Friday we had Sook jin and Monika come to our house and introduced them to Friends Speak. This week we were able to do a lesson with each of them. They brought us some kleenex for a house-warming gift because 'blowing' is a cleansing thing, so they wanted us to blow fresh tissues! Craig is reading with Sook jin and I'm reading with Monika. Thankfully our apartment is big enough for us to be in separate rooms.
Monika and I talked about truth. How can we know what Luke wrote is true? How can we answer our non-Christian friends when they ask us 'how do you know the Bible is true?' Monika is a faithful Christian, married to an English professor at Wangwonk university who is studying to finish his Theology degree. They have 2 children ages 16&18 and Monika 'hopes that they will become faithful Christians'. Friends speak is helping us to have meaningful conversations about how we can share our faith with others. and she loves to laugh - so we have a great time together!
Craig and Sook jin talked about 'beginnings'. They searched out what 'God's plan' means and why He gave us Jesus. Sook jin had shared with me awhile ago that she was interested in studying the Bible because she had attended church in Australia a few times. She is searching and Craig is helping her to find a solid foundation.

Thanks, Andrea, for sending us Friends Speak books. Please be praying for both of these women. They are good friends and co-workers at our hakwon. Pray for boldness for Monika and an open-heart for Sook jin.
