Moving Process

here are some more pics of our moving process. they put everything into baskets so they know how many can fit in their truck, they open up the patio windows wide enough for everything to fit through - and get a huge conveyer belt! convey (is that a verb?) it out the windows and into the truck. Quick and easy - only took one hour to load up and one our to unload. Smart people, these Koreans. Don't you wish that when you/if you lived in your apartment it was so easy to move?

At our new place, everyone was hard at work. our principal hired someone to clean our old apartment, but when we got to our new one - it was really, really dirty. wallpaper had just been put up, but nothing was cleaned up. so, we all got on some gloves and went to work! Se min was our saviour as she came all day and translated and cleaned! the secretary showed up to see if everything was ok, and when she saw the mess, she grabbed a pair of gloves and started cleaning! then she called a janitor from the school to come over and help out. that's them standing in the kitchen. Mr. Kim paid for our lunch so we enjoyed chicken from Dasarang and some beepim bop! (rice which means 'to mix' with veggies and sauce)

(here's my diclaimer - i acutally didn't just stand around taking pictures and eating while people cleaned my apartment. it just seems that no one else thinks about using a camera!)
