On Saturday we met our Korean teacher and another English/Korean teacher from our school - Monica. (that's her english name!) we headed out for some yummy Japanese/Korean food. They really don't waste anything around here - especially at the table. we had a huge pot of boiling water that we cooked thinly sliced beef, and a bunch of veggies in. Dipped that stuff in some sauces, then the waitres brought us some noodles. we used the beef broth to make a good soup. then the left over broth was used to make a rice dish - all done in one pot! a great low-carb meal!We headed out to the university. In Iksan we feel like we're just surrounded by cement and neon lights, so we wanted to see a bit of nature. On campus Craig found some bamboo! Something we can't find in Regina, but we can at Wonkwang University. The sun was shining and it was nice to be with our new friends!
