WOW! mom, dad, and Alicia pulled off the BIGGEST SURPRISE EVER on Travis this week!
Mom had planned to visit them all in Brazil during most of November, but decided to keep it a secret from Travis. Her and Alicia have been plotting for MONTHS! Mom's sister asked dad why he wasn't going, and when he didn't have a good enough answer, he booked a ticket too!
For a couple of months now we have all been trying to be non-chalant about things and trying to keep the facebook world from spoiling the surprise! Travis has been in the dark. I'm sure it didn't help when his sister kept talking about how mom and dad were coming to Korea in January! he must have been thinking - ok then. i have a new baby but their going to KOREA instead?! Sorry Trav!
Mom and dad's departure date finally arrived, and after mom being on the webcam with Travis the night before saying how she had to get to bed cause she worked, they were off! in the meantime, Alicia was plotting how to get travis and the family to the airport at 9pm on Wednesday night. she came up with a brilliant plan of how one of her team mates had lost some luggage on the way to a conference. Alicia was the only one who could pick it up for her. So the family should all go togehter. Good job alicia! She also convinced Travis that they should buy a new bed for company - and Travis STILL doesn't know how she managed that one when he said they didn't need one cause company wasn't coming for months!
Alicia got video of it all - Travis and Ceara were watching the planes at a window in the airport. And he turned around to see his mom and dad standing there!
If you know my brother - at all! - you can HEAR him saying
NO WAY!!!

Pretty fun stuff! he was floored. And so excited! they'd made the journey to see them, spend time with Ceara, and meet baby Calen. What a special time for them!
Guess Craig and i have started a trend after surprising the whole family last year for Christmas when they were expecting us just before New Year's. Who's turn is it next?!

Oh that is awesome....and I can totally hear Travis loudly proclaiming "NO WAY" Very fun.
Suprise visits seem to be the thing to do. My Mom showed up on my Mexican doorstep for my birthday last January. I practically slammed the door in her face b/c I was so out of sorts!
