December 1st!

We are both really excited that December has arrived! it means so much for us:

1. We are finally in our last month of teaching! as I look at the calandar, we have 20 official teaching days left, but we know that we're getting a few days off here and there for final exams and final concerts. we can do it!

For January and February it means that there is winter vacation. But foreign teachers only get 7 working days off. But our supervisor, Mr.Lee messed with our summer vacation and we only got 3 working days. So we will get a total of 11 working days off in during winter vacation.

We will most likely be working at the 'smart students' English camp and then working at a teacher's workshop. But we haven't seen a schedule. We saw our summer schedule 3 days before it started, so we aren't holding our breathe to see this one any sooner.

2. It was going to mean that mom and dad would be here in January, but we've changed those plans. We were going to get out of the Korean winter and head over to Vietnam, but we've agreed to cancel. We're still planning on visiting in Brazil during March, mom and dad want to go back to visit their grandkids, and Craig's sister is getting married in England in July. Because of all of that, we decided a trip to Vietnam was not wise financially and we need to save for other, more necessary adventures!

3. It also means that we could be landing in Canada in 2 months and 12 days! Because my parents aren't coming, we really don't need to take holidays in the 11the of 12 months in our contract. So we've spoken to our superivor and he's hoping to let us take our 11 days at the end of our contract, pay us out for the whole month, and send us home around mid Feb instead of the end of the month! we're very excited about this possibility!

4. It means that we'll be spending our very first Christmas together as a married couple in 4 years! We have never spent Christmas without one side of the family, so it will be a big adjustment for us. As of now, we also only get December 25th off but have to work our last day at our Friday schools on December 26th. So we're going to try hard to not let the tears flow during Christmas. Be thinking of us! We hope to start some of our own 'family traditions' this year.
it's December! and the first week is almost over! YEAY!

Family traditions are a great thing to start - so are families (hint hint)
