We are always amazed at the English that is used in this country. We're advised to 'take a rest' on the weekends, eat things that are 'good for health', and asked how Craig's speech was at 'churchie'.
On Valentine's Day Craig got me a cake. He bought it from the Backery down the street. Yes, Backery. The best part of it was the box it came in. On the box was written (3 times):
excellent oven Fresh Baker - Being fresh is everything to nice cake, however fresh taste and scent are easily affected. The most gentel, fluid delicate of fabrice, lace enjoys a romantic repufation
Now, if that doesn't sound appeal, what will?
White Day is celebrated March 14th. Valentine's Day is specifically for men, so they've created White Day for women. Craig bought me some candies in a plastic box. He just laughed at the English, that's why he bought it for me:
Confess your love, and She (He) would be your lover. Lily candy will send your love your mind, sweet and lovely
What?!
There are signs for the Rest&Hof (German for beer?!) (and is 'Rest' a noun?). We ordered food once from Chicken Fried One - and never again. But we do have their magnet on our fridge.
It's amazing how English words can be linked together in any order and be called the English language.
