Some mountains like we've never seen before. The island has many bridges to connect the islands together.

Headed into port and walked to our hotel, which we discovered is on the one road on the island. Everyone cruises back and forth on one road that connects all the islands together. We rented some quads for $20 for 1 1/2 hours, which is a little pricey, but we're at the tourist trap!

We drove through a little village and saw some home builders. Really interesting for Craig to see how they make houses in South Korea - seems pretty primitive compared to working for Heartwood Homes in Vernon.
Drove past a pond with cranes - cool. Remember the book about the girl who tried to 'origami' 1000 cranes because she was sick - cranes represent Asia for me. We noticed that Rubbermaid must be making a killing in South Korea - these rubber bins were EVERYWHERE. no clue what's in them - probably don't want to find out!
The one road on the island took us through the winding streets of this tiny village...
...and to their fishing port.
Rachel lead the way and made it to the tip of the penninsula first
we made it to the other side of the village, and had to turn around and double-back because there was no through road. We saw a woman drying seaweed in her yard and Craig asked if we could take her picture. She said no and went inside. i'm sure the village people HATE tourist season! who wants your picture taken when you're in your sweaty work clothes?!

Somehow I missed the part about you going on a trip - pretty cool to see the sights. I think it would be so interesting. Glad you are enjoying yourselves - Oh, and the girls couldn't get enough of the muppet clip you sent.... We played it 4 times and then Taylor cried when we played something else - we played it 3 more times!
OK now i am jealous. I sounds like you had a great time. I never thought that there would be sights like that there. I am glad you are experiencing all you can. Mom
You guys look so funny on those little bikes!
