It's so great when friends stop in to visit! We hadn't seen Dan and Rachel since Elizabeth was 8 months. she is now 3, her sister Amelia (ah-mah-lee-ah) is 1 1/2, and Liam is 5 months. Wow! lots of change since Craig and I were dating...oh so many years ago?!!
They drove in Friday night and we went to the Farmer's Market and Dan is a great chef so he cooked up a storm, although it was 10pm before we ate thanks to our 'barbeque' which we use coals for instead of propane. But it was worth the wait! stayed up till 2am talking and playing Settlers and Steal. I realized the next morning that when we have kids and stay up till all hours of the night and the kids get up at 6 am, it just may be Daddy who gets up first with those little kids..... ;-)
We went out to the Orchard to see the goats and then off to the beach...where we get to the point of the title of this post. Amelia is just the cutest little 1 1/2 year old! and craig had his special smiley balls that he loves taking in the water cause they skip on the surface so well and soak up the water at the same time. (think he's ready for kids yet?!) well, Amelia decided that she LOVED the ball...so much so that she wanted it with her wherever she went...and since she was only wearing a bathing suit, where would be the logical place to keep a little ball - but in her mouth! So, i tried many, many times to steal the pic of Hugo from the Close's site and have it here - but blogger wouldn't let me! so, see if you can see the resemblance between these 2 cute creatures!
