The Fields

Some of us went for a walk through the village to see the land that Sook jin's father farms. Of course, we saw our favorite - red chilly peppers! they are everywhere and on everything you order in this country...

Here is one of the 'green houses' that they grow food in. it's covered up for the winter!

The countryside - complete with hay. Almost reminds us of Saskatchewan...

What a sad sight...the empty chicken coop. Empty due to bird flu...

Sook jin's father's farm equipment - the Super Combine! and his new rice machine. now he can put the rice in and it will 'stip' it down. (as if i really know the technical term for this. he takes of the layer of rice) He gave us some brown rice - which we can't really find here!

Hard working rice farmer...
