The Ski Hill

Ok, this entry is for Josh. He can compare this ski hill to all those he's worked at in BC and Alberta. Just look at the amount of people. we were absolutely stunned by the amount of bodies there were...

Cars all over the place trying to drive all the way up to the ski hill. they had parking lots on so many different levels - and everyone tried to park at the top. The parking attendants just tried to prevent accidents and buses tried to manouver through to get up...it took half an hour to get up there - we seriously walked down the hill faster than taking transportation.

Then we look over and see this sea of buses - so, 100 buses with 50 people = 5000 people. just from this set of buses!

we hadn't planned on going skiing that day - but we did want to get up the gondola and take a look around. we bought our tickets for $21/person for a 2 way ride. A little steep in price, but thought it would be worth it...

...until we saw the people!! we asked a hill-worker who said the line up is a 2 hour wait, 15 minute ride up the mountain, and a 1 hour wait to get down the moutain. we stood in line for 5 minutes and Rachel tried to lead us in sqwishing up against the people in front of us so we wouldn't get butted in front of - but being from the prairies, we failed misearbly and decided the gondola would have to wait until spring...

hopefully there won't be as many people then!
