Muju Resort - Feb4th

Rachel bought a car - and with that car comes great road trips! The first being our trip to Muju Resort. This is the most popular ski resort in Korea. It was our first time to get out of Iksan for a trip. We were so excited to see the country side and take the 3 hour trip into the mountains to get to Muju. We went with Rachel, Robin, and Roxanne. We booked into a hotel which cost $50/room/night.

The girls stayed together in a room - complete with comfy floor mats and a head board! Because there was 'a lot' of them together, they took out the bed so they could comfortably fit on the floor...where we played Milles Bornes and Steal while eating $27 worth of junk food. Needless to say - it was fun! We also went looking for a Galbi restaurant to eat at - and Craig was the first to notice the sign! so, our Korean is coming along all right...

Our room had a head board - and a bed. It was so incredibly hot that we had the window open, then the air conditioning on, but nothing seemed to help. Craig got up in the middle of the night trying to figure out how to turn the heat down...he tried out the box on our end table. It had some buttons and Korean writing on it - so he pushed them all. nothing seemed to happen. so he turned it over and pulled on some wires - which sparked and turned off all the lights! it was night so we didn't need lights, and he didn't get electrocuted, so all was fine. In the morning, he saw a medal cover in the bathroom near the floor, opened it up, and found the thermostat.

We also had a table with chairs! a rare comfort found here - but expected back home.

On to Muju Resort...
